The people around me are changing, and not all for the better. Some of them now, are Shadows of the people they once were. The outside remains the same, the outline of their existence. But the inside, the inside is now black. Darkened with envy, hate self-loathing and greed. They are made like this from those around us. Those who think individuality is a sin. That being different is wrong. That being you is ugly. All these thoughts form a shadow. Someone who is you, but not. A shadow of a person who was and might never be again. These shadows chase me, whisper sweet words of hatred when my back is turned. Try to tell me, I’m wrong.
